Congratulations to Freshman Varsity Cheerleader BRYLEE PELFREY for being recognized as a UCA All-American Cheerleader. This is something optional they can tryout for at the camp and provided Brylee with an opportunity (at her own expense) to perform in Philadelphia at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.

1. SEVEN of the MVHS Cheerleaders were recognized as a UCA All-American Cheerleader. This is something optional they can tryout for at the camp and you have the opportunity (at their own expense) to perform in London (grades 10 & above) or in Philadelphia at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade (grades 9 and below).
Shannon Molander, Varsity, Grade 12
Emily Wilson, Varsity, Grade 12
Coryn Gowans, Varsity, Grade 12
Kimberly Dolson, Varsity, Grade 10
Angelee Alvira, Varsity, Grade 10
Mariah Rodriguez, Junior Varsity, Grade 9
Lindsey Higbie, Varsity Grade 8
2. Three seniors were invited to apply/tryout for UCA staff next year – Shannon Molander, Emily Wilson, Coryn Gowans. This will provide them with the opportunity to be an instructor a camps all around the US.
3. The MVHS Cheer Program received the Banana award on Day 2 for being most spirited, helpful, hard working, etc…. it's a “fun award” but one the girls have been trying to achieve for the past 3 years but didn't really have the team to ‘gel' to make it happen.
4. Day 4 (competition day)
JV received a 3rd in cheer, 3rd in the JV Extreme Routine, and invited to participate to one of the bowls (at their expense) for getting blue ribbons all week. Varsity received 4th in sidelines, 4th in cheer and 1st in the Xtreme Routine (a competition type performance) in the Varsity Elite Division.
Lastly, and one that I am extremely proud of, is the LEADERSHIP AWARD, that your Minisink Varsity cheerleaders received which is an award that is voted on by all teams participating at that camp session for the team they most respect, admire and would want to be like.
