Dear Friends:


On behalf of the Minisink Valley High School (MVHS) Cheerleaders, I am writing to ask for your support to help afford the Varsity Cheerleaders the opportunity to compete at a National Cheerleading Competition in February of 2015.


The MVHS Varsity Cheerleaders have competed nationally for the past 10 years, winning a National title in 2012 and placing in the top 5 for the past 10 years. We’re proud to represent our community at this national competitive level and are striving to bring home another championship in 2015!


We can’t get there without the support from our community!


In an effort to raise funds to attend nationals (entry fees, transportation and travel expenses), we host an annual local cheerleading competition, the “Warriors Ultimate Cheerleading Competition”. This year’s event will take place on January 10, 2015. The Warriors’ Ultimate Cheerleading Competition is very highly attended cheerleading teams from the entire tri-state area, and continues to be a great success and an essential fundraiser for these athletes.


How can you help?

  • We are seeking team sponsors; available at $250 and above
  • “Sponsor a cheerleader” for the cost for her to attend Nationals at $500
  • Cash donations
  • Journal ad opportunities. We are preparing a program/journal to distribute to all participants and spectators at The Warriors Ultimate Cheerleading Competition and are asking local businesses to advertise in our competition program. Advertisement costs are listed on the enclosed form.
  • We are seeking donations of food, beverages, and supplies
  • We are also in need of contributions/donations for our tricky tray raffle and giveaways held at the event.
